Meet the Team
Early Years Leader & Teacher
I am delighted to have been appointed as the first teacher at Stoneham Park Primary Academy. I have been teaching in Reception for the past 6 years and I cannot wait to take your children on some adventures in their learning! At school I particularly enjoy learning outdoors and have a passion for sharing stories. When I'm not at school I am a keen traveller and either like to spend my time planning my next trip or taking my dog for a walk in the forest. I am really excited to be building a setting that is going to support our children to achieve their best as well as being sustainable for our environment. I really believe in the value of children's play and will put this at the forefront of our practice to support joyful learning experiences. I am really looking forward meeting you and your children and beginning to build our community.
Hi there, I'm Miss Shamley the new Administration Assistant for Stoneham Park Primary Academy. My background is in Customer Service and Administration, both in South Africa (where I was born) and New Zealand. My biggest achievement was helping with Christchurch Earthquakes, where I settled hundreds of claims so people could rebuild their lives. I love hiking and being outdoors, rubbing shoulders with the local wild life and learning about conserving our environment. Being part of Stoneham Park Primary Academy family will be an exciting adventure and can't wait to meet all our pupils and parents.
Learning Support Assistant
I'm so excited to meet you all in person, after 13 years of teaching and leading key stage 1 and Early years I have decided to take more time for my family. My 3 girls are growing up to fast and time flies by so a little change in my career was needed. I love outdoors learning and allowing children to develop as a whole child in a safe, positive and caring environment. As a child and teenager I competed at national level in acrobatics gymnastics with my greatest achievement being second in the country, my love for gymnastics shines through my families live with all 3 of my girls being budding gymnasts
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
I'm Ms Read and I'm very excited to be helping you as you start your learning journey. I’ve worked within a school setting for many years and have experience across Early Years, KS1 and KS2. I also worked as a co-teacher in kindergarten, whilst living in Virginia. During my last post I worked across Early Years and KS1 as a HLTA, plus supervisor of the after school club. I continued to work in Early Years throughout the pandemic. In my spare time, I love to cook, craft and be creative and really enjoy woodland walks with my children and being in my garden. I love to visit Hilliers Arboretum. I do hope you are keeping well and have had a wonderful summer. See you soon
