Meet the Team
Early Years Leader & Teacher
I am delighted to have been appointed as the first teacher at Stoneham Park Primary Academy. I have been teaching in Reception for the past 6 years and I cannot wait to take your children on some adventures in their learning! At school I particularly enjoy learning outdoors and have a passion for sharing stories. When I'm not at school I am a keen traveller and either like to spend my time planning my next trip or taking my dog for a walk in the forest. I am really excited to be building a setting that is going to support our children to achieve their best as well as being sustainable for our environment. I really believe in the value of children's play and will put this at the forefront of our practice to support joyful learning experiences. I am really looking forward meeting you and your children and beginning to build our community.
Early Years Teacher
Hello everyone. I'm Mrs Cater and I'm really pleased and excited to join the growing team at Stoneham Park Academy. I have been connected with the group of schools within the Academy Trust for many years as my children attended one and I have taught at two others prior to joining Stoneham. I have taught in both Years 1 and 2 and have been based in Reception for the last eight years. I am a Specialist Leader in Education in Early Years. I firmly believe in the in the power of learning through play and love to help our youngest children begin their exciting journey through education. When not working, my main focus in life is my family and I love to spend time outdoors walking and enjoying the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
I'm Miss Bailey and I'm thrilled to be teaching at Stoneham Park Primary Academy. I have loved teaching across Early Years and Key Stage One, and I am excited to share this learning journey with your children as they move into Year One. My favourite thing is to read story books. I really love jumping into the story books with the children to build exciting class ideas and activities. Outside of school I like to jet off on adventures around the world and experience lots of different cultures. It`s lots of fun learning new things or meeting new animals and I enjoy sharing this with my class. Nurturing the children's curiosity is a huge passion of mine and I love to discover and learn about our world with the children. I am looking forward to taking your children on an exciting learning adventure together.
I'm so excited to be the new Administration Assistant at Stoneham Park Primary Academy. I have spent the last 18 years at a Southampton school, working with children in class, 1 to 1, and in a Nurture Group. I worked in the school office during Lockdown and re-discovered my love for admin work, which has led me to Stoneham Park. I have 4 grown up children and 2 grandchildren that keep me busy. I love being outdoors, going on long coastal walks and I'm always pottering around my garden-sowing seeds and nurturing plants. Having spent 20 years in admin at a recycling centre, I'm also passionate about recycling and upcycling and am thrilled to see the children re-using so many objects and materials.
Learning Support Assistant
I'm so excited to meet you all in person, after 13 years of teaching and leading key stage 1 and Early years I have decided to take more time for my family. My 3 girls are growing up too fast and time flies by so a little change in my career was needed. I love outdoors learning and allowing children to develop as a whole child in a safe, positive and caring environment. As a child and teenager I competed at national level in acrobatics gymnastics with my greatest achievement being second in the country, my love for gymnastics shines through my families live with all 3 of my girls being budding gymnasts
